Ramsha, from Pakistan, and Rudrani, from India, met during graduate school in UK. They bonded over many things and primarily their love for chai.
Chai Ki Dukaan (means tea shop) is an online forum that promotes and celebrates friendly communication between Indians and Pakistanis. Chai is such an important of the Pakistani and Indian culture, we drink tea in the morning, we drink tea before bed, we drink tea when it’s hot, we drink tea when it rains, we drink tea when we have a headache, we drink tea when we’re sick- because well let’s be real chai is the solution to everything.
Chai Ki Dukaan is a project that promotes peace and open dialogue between Indian and Pakistani people. The facebook page shares stories of friendships between people from India and Pakistan, stories of hope and love that still exists between the two neighboring countries.
