Food Savers Food Savers is an organization based in Hyderabad which was started by Ubaid Memon and Danish Ali Aarbi.

Food Savers is a unique organization that tackles the issue of food wastage and hunger in Pakistan. Every night take collect excess and left over food from restaurants, homes and weddings etc, repackage it and distribute it to homeless people, white collar families, people in slum areas and others in need.
Food Savers has been active for almost a year and has served over 20,000 people.

Ubaid and Danish were inspired to start Food Savers because they wanted to stop food wastage and help out white collar families who sleep hungry. They were also inspired by Prophet PBUH who said the best act of all is to feed the hungry. Their future plans include extended the Kitchen and food distribution services to Karachi, Lahore and all the big cities of Pakistan. Their goal is to feed a million people all over Pakistan and reduce the overall statistics about hunger and food wastage. Additionally they want to arrange a door to door service for the Thar area especially for produce and raw food.

Their biggest need is not donations or volunteers but resources like freezers, operational vehicles , storage and packing spaces. If you can provide any of these resources please contact Change Makers of Pakistan or Food Savers.

Ubaid and Danish are prime examples of change makers in Pakistan, who saw a challenge and turned it into an opportunity. Food that would usually end up in the trash every night, now goes to a hungry stomach. Ubaid, Danish and the entire team of Food Savers, we are beyond proud of you!
